Taste buds getting a bit bored? Shake things up with these three new restaurants on the South Florida dining scene...

  • Health-conscious Proof celebrates its official opening Nov 20 at the former Table 8 Spot (14th & Ocean). Billed as American bistro meets California fresh cuisine, the space partially owned by Dolphins tailback Ricky Williams and ex-NFL player Rudi Johnson dishes out the likes of grilled prosciutto-wrapped shrimp, Thai lollipop chicken wings, a 10oz buger and sushi. Few dishes scream healthy to us, particularly the Oreo-crusted key lime pie. Call 305-672-4554 for details.
  • Casual, moderately-price Italian hits the Upper Eastside courtesy of DeVita’s. Feast on chicken Marsala, steak Milanesa, two dozen different pizzas, pastas, salads, sandwiches and more. The menu reads like a page out of an Italian grandma’s cookbook and few dishes venture near the $20 mark. Call 305-754-8282 for info.
  •  South Florida gets yet another temple of beef this season as Hallandale Beach welcomes Texas de Brazil to the Village of Gulfstream Park. The chain’s fourth Florida location is impressively large at 12,000 square feet and seating for 275. Expect the traditional sword-wielding Gauchos, extensive salad bar and beef smorgasbord. Call 954-843-7600.
