Fresh off a $12 million renovation, the National Hotel Miami Beach (1677 Collins Ave., Miami Beach; 305-532-2311)  is inviting locals to its iconic Art Deco tower and pool with day passes this summer. At 205', the National's pool is longer than an Olympic-sized pool and the longest in South Beach. Often reserved as a perk for hotel guests, pool passes will cost non-guests $25. The price includes a lounge chair, towel, welcome cocktail, as well as 15 percent off poolside restaurant Aqua Bar & Grill and the more upscale Tamara Bistro located off the lobby with indoor and outdoor seating. The hotel's renovation included upgrades to poolside cabanas and lounge chairs in a sophisticated color palette of tan, brown, maroon and hunter green. Pool day passes are valid now through September 30, 2014.
