Miami Spa Month 2015
Now in its seventh season, Miami Spa Month allows locals and visitors alike to enjoy special treatments for $99.
Feeling knotty, Miami?
Fret not, Miami Spa Month 2015 starts July 1 and runs through August 31. Now in its seventh season, Miami Spa Month allows locals and visitors alike to enjoy special treatments for $99 (yes, you read that right) at Miami's top spas for two entire months. Decompress for less compliments of the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau — the organization responsible for year-round money-saving monthly promotions such as Miami Film Month, Miami Museum Month, Shop Miami Month and Miami Spice. We give you some hedonistic highlights here:
THE SPA AT TURNBERRY MIAMI: A must-try for those having a difficult time getting bikini-ready, try the off-the-beaten path Lymphatic Drainage Therapy ($99 for 50 minutes). The painless process (using electrostatic tension) yields results such as assisted weight loss, less stress, boosted energy and more. The Spa at Turnberry Isle, 19999 W Country Club Dr, Miami; (305) 933-6930.
VICEROY MIAMI: Book the signature facial with an Opal eye treatment (50 minutes for $99). Treat the skin to a vitamin-rich burst of citrus to cleanse, tone, promote collagen stimulation and penetrate the skin with rich antioxidants. Using organic products, a deep cleansing session is then combined with a relaxing facial massage for further revitalization, followed by the spa’s Opal eye treatment where guests will experience an immediate reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Resulting J. Glo aside, the Philippe Starck designed interiors here are a treat for the senses. Viceroy Miami, 485 Brickell Ave., Downtown; (305) 503-0369.
LAPIS, THE SPA AT FONTAINEBLEAU: Try the Aroma Stone Therapy (50 minutes for $99). After decompressing is the hydrotherapy haven’s numerous pools and showers, this rubdown uses warm Basalt lava stones and aromatic oils to increase circulation in stressed muscles and offer deep relaxation. Afterward, kick back in the all-white relaxation lounge for added bliss. The bonus here? Unlike any other Miami Spa Month destination, guests can enjoy access to the expansive Fontainebleau poolscape, featuring 8 pools surrounded by cabanas and sun loungers. Fontainebleau Miami Beach, 4441 Collins Ave., Miami Beach; (305) 674-4772.
THE CARILLON HOTEL & SPA: Order up the Resorative Massage (50 minutes for $99). This signature treatment entails a light to medium pressure rubdown at the hands of an experienced therapist. As a first time Miami Spa Month participant, the property is also offering guests exclusive access to the entire Carillon property for $75 (only available the day of service redemption and an additional cost to treatment). The Carillon Hotel & Spa, 6801 Collins Ave.; (866) 800-3858.
ACQUALINA Spa by ESPA: Indulge in the Swedish Massage (50 minutes for $99). Guests can expect a traditional full-body massage using firm pressure to promote relaxation and ease muscle tension. Insider tip? Dip into the facility’s crystal steam rooms, refreshing ice fountains and experience showers featuring cool arctic or warm Caribbean mists. Acqualina Resort & Spa, 17875 Collins Ave., Sunny Isles Beach; (844) 602-4941.
THE BETSY ROOFTOP GARDEN & WELLNESS SPA: Relish "The Hemingway" (60 minutes for $99) and thank us later. Ideal for athletic types seeking a little respite with physical and mental reflection, the journey begins with a deep tissue massage focusing on the lower back and other key areas to realign the body and maximize its movement. The Betsy, 1440 Ocean Drive, Miami Beach; (305) 531-6100.
