Brickell

Dolores But You Can Call Me Lolita has a variety of options for ringing in 2017. Bazaar Mar by Jose Andres at SLS Brickell has two seatings from 6-7 p.m. and 9-10 p.m. The first seating is a 10-course preset tasting menu for $150 per person that features a Hokkaido sea urchin nori cone, oyster ceviche, Maine cold lobster and key lime pie. It’s the same menu for the second seating but includes a midnight champagne toast, party favors and half-price entry into the SAAMS Lounge with one complimentary drink. Also at the SLS Brickell at Fi’Lia the latest venture from Michael Schwartz has  6:30 and 9 p.m. seatings. The first is $85 per person and includes a three-course menu with options of beet carpaccio, wood grilled short rib, mezzelune artichoke, prosecco sorbet or warm chocolate cake for dessert. Cantina La Veinte is serving up a three-course menu with items including king crab aguachile, lobster risotto, wagyu filet and Mexican chocolate ganache for dessert. Coya New Year’s Eve 2017 A Red & Gold Affair with two seating options. At 6 p.m. enjoy either a four-course tasting menu for $95, including a half bottle of Grand Dame Veuve Clicquot Rose 2008 for $160 or a half bottle of Grand Dame Veuve Clicquot 2008 for $195. Celebrate New Year’s Eve at Toscana Divino with a prix fixe, family style menu prepared by Chef Andrea Marchesin for $100 per person. Dinner includes red shrimp tartare, scallops carpaccio, lobster ravioli, monk fish and semifreddo. Mary Brickell Village, 901 S Miami Ave., 305-930-6873.

PM Fish and Steak House offers a traditional three-course menu with veal carpaccio or shrimp bisque, NY strip steak and cheesecake for dessert. Each party of four receives a bottle of Moët & Chandon Imperial, 12 grapes and New Year’s Eve favors. $250 per person. 1453 S. Miami Ave., 305-200-5606.

Rosa Mexicano has a New Year’s Eve menu planned. They’re offering a four-course Fiesta Menu with their famous guacamole made tableside, a tasting platter with flautas and empanadas, choice of any house entrée and family style churros or tres leches dessert. At Kaori the five-course New Year’s Eve menu is specially crafted by Chef Walter Martino. He’s preparing king octopus ceviche, champagne and caviar risotto, filet mignon and salmon Wellington. It also includes midnight champagne toast, party favors and a digital fireworks show. Segafredo Brickell is one of Brickell’s longest-running restaurants and nightlife spots and for New Year’s Eve they’re hosting a Venetian Masquerade. They’re serving up a four-course gourmet Italian dinner starting at 8 p.m. with a welcome glass of champagne along with live music and party favors for $95 per person. And a bottle of champagne for $145 per person or an open-bar package from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. for an additional $85 per person. 1421 S. Miami Ave., Miami, 305-577-9809.

Novecento has a New Year’s Eve menu with choices including appetizer choices of brie en croute, chilled shrimp or snapper carpaccio, entrée choices rolled lechon, lamb chops or Scottish salmon and dessert is choice of chocolate mousse or baked Alaska. Also includes one bottle of wine per couple. First seating is 6-9 p.m. and $99 per person, second is at 9:30 p.m. for $150 per person and includes party favors and live DJ.  

Azul and La Mar at the Mandarin Oriental are both hosting New Year’s Eve dining options. At Azul the first seating 6:30-8:30 is three courses for $125 per person with yellowfin tuna and escolar carpaccio, Waygu beef and Yuzu custard bar. Second seating at 9 p.m. is $395 per person and features seven courses including pork belly, Alaskan king crab, oyster and truffle chawanmushi. At La Mar it’s one seating at 8 p.m. at $240 per person with unlimited cocktails and prosecco or $300 with unlimited cocktails and champagne. It includes a Peruvian buffet with four live stations, choice of octopus anticuchero, churrasco, squid ink pappardelle with seafood or branzino. Downtown

Pitbull’s Worldwide VIP Food & Wine Party at Downtown Miami’s Bayfront Park is a culinary affair featuring 15-20 stations featuring dishes from around the world prepared by Miami’s own James Beard award-winning Chef Michelle Bernstein. The dishes will be paired with craft beer, wine and signature cocktails prepared by award-winning local bartender Julio Cabrera. Cap off the evening with a champagne toast at midnight. Zuma Miami is hosting dining options themed Edo era or the golden Age of Japan. Starting a $295, the restaurant’s culinary team will prepare Zuma’s signature dishes. They include sushi and sashimi platters, beef tartar with black truffle and caviar, squid ink seafood hotpot, maki rolls and lobster tempura. Tuyo at Miami Dade College’s Miami Culinary Institute features a fantastic view of Downtown Miami for New Year’s Eve where they have two seatings for their New Year’s Eve feast. Executive Chef Victor Santos prepares Alaskan King Crab causa, three oyster stew, berkshire pork tenderloin, Floribbean seafood cazuela and harissa crusted rack of lamb. First seating is 5:30-7 p.m. at $125 per person and second seating is 9-10 p.m. at $175 per person and includes party favors and midnight champagne toast. InterContinental Miami has several restaurants and many are offering New Year’s Eve specialty menus. At Toro Toro, enjoy an array of pan-Latin dishes served on their prix fixe menu which also includes a bottle of champagne per couple. The first seating at 6 p.m. is $232.72 for adults and $116.35 for children while the second seating at 9 p.m. is $332.45. The seafood buffet and bottle of champagne per couple at Ole which begins seating at 8:30 p.m. is $292.55 per person. At Bluewater Executive Chef Klaus Happel prepares a six-course meal and couples receive a bottle or red or white wine and a bottle of Taittinger champagne. River Yacht Club one of Miami’s newest and swankiest dining locales is hosting a New Year’s Eve Spectacle. For a $30 booking fee, choose from a variety of a la carte menu items along with live performers and entertainers, party favors and midnight Taittinger champagne toast. PB Station in the Langford Hotel is having two New Year’s Eve dinner seatings at 7 and 9:30 p.m. They include amuse to start, followed by oysters Rockefeller and short rib tortellini served family style then entrees including roasted saddle of veal, Maine lobster and sea scallop pot pie and pan seared wild turbot. Sides served family style include whole oyster mushroom scampi, loaded baked fingerling potato and grilled long stem artichokes. Dessert is petit fours served family style. Wynwood

KYU one of Wynwood’s hottest eateries with superstar chef Michael Lewis is offering two seatings for their specialty Chef’s Tasting Menu. Seatings are at before 8 p.m. and at or after 8 p.m. and the 8-10 course tasting menu includes wood fire specialties, sashimi style dishes and elegant vegetarian options. Tropicalien New Year’s Bass Drop at Wynwood Yard is a party co-hosted by Telekinetic Walrus and featuring the best bass music. Performing will be Afrobeta, Otto von Schirach, The Galactic Effect, Telekinetic Walrus, Serious Jorge and Juicy Cuci. The eateries at the Yard including Fritz ‘N Schnitz, Della Test Kitchen, World Famous House of Mac, Charcoal Garden Bar + Grill, BBQ by Darian, The British Garden and The Bar at The Yard. New Year’s Eve at Beaker & Gray features a four-course dinner menu by Executive Chef Brian Nasajon. First course options are chilled Maine lobster with pancetta or marcona almond and sweet pea, followed by pappardelle with braised rabbit, artichoke and caraway. The third course is domestic lamb with carrot char siu and baby root vegetable then chocolate cracklin’ with Bartlett pear, caramel and chocolate angel food cake. Midtown

Michael Schwartz’s Cypress Tavern is offering an indulgent meal. For $89 per person, choose an appetizer, entree and dessert from the a la carte dinner menu with a half bottle of Jeeper Champagne per couple. You can upgrade the meal with luxuries such as stone crabs, shaved truffles and caviar, with the option of full caviar service. Sugarcane Raw Bar Grill has a large selection of a la carte items prepared just for New Year’s Eve by Chef Timon Baloo. The menu includes king crab tiradito and deviled caviar eggs for an appetizer, pan-roasted duck breast, Wagyu short rib kakuni and grilled Maine lobster for entrees and panettone sundae and egg nog crème brulee for dessert. MiMo District

Vagabond Kitchen & Bar rings in the New Year with two special dinner menus created by Chef Roberto Dubois. The first seating is 5:30-7 p.m. and it’s a three-course meal with Alaskan king crab, osetra caviar, diver scallop and a surf ‘n turf main course with prime beef tenderloin and Maine lobster. Dessert is a decadent dark chocolate bar made with chocolate ganache, hazelnut and caramel and pistachio ice cream along with a mascarpone mousse for $75 per person. The second seating begins at 9 p.m. and is a four-course meal for $115 per person. It is the same menu as the first seating but also includes black truffle gnocchi and a midnight champagne toast. PhucYea the popular pop-up now has a brick and mortar location and is serving up three-, four – and five-course New Year’s Eve dinners. It starts with a selection of summer rolls followed by a family style second course with scallion pancake, king crab and foie gras au torcho. The third course is a choice of braised short ribs, duck confit or sable fish. Longevity noodles are the fourth course and green tea mousse is the fifth course. The three-course is at 6 p.m. includes a bottle of champagne and is $130 per couple. Coconut Grove

Sonesta Hotel Panorama Restaurant & Sky Lounge in Coconut Grove is hosting a decadent New Year’s Eve Party. It starts at 7 p.m. and includes a variety of salad and appetizer selections, raw bar with half-shell clams, oysters, sushi, ceviche and jumbo shrimp cocktail. Entrée options include pan-seared grouper, a carving station, with Cuban-style pork and roast tenderloin of beef plus a dessert station. The Musette Yacht is a fun way to sail away for a New Year’s Eve celebration. The evening features a live DJ, three and a half hour open bar, full dinner buffet, champagne toast and fireworks display at midnight. Price is $149 per person. Boarding time is 8 p.m. departure is 9 p.m. and docked at 1:30 a.m. 1635 N. Bayshore Dr., Coconut Grove.

Miami Beach

At Fontainebleau Miami Beach you can choose from Italian, Asian, steakhouse or traditional buffet. Strip Steak by Michael Mina is offering two prix fixe menu offerings. From 6-7:30 p.m. there are four courses including Belgian endive, pan seared scallops, wood grilled filet mignon and chocolate mousse for $195. The menu’s elevated for the second seating from 8:30-10 p.m. which is identical to the first seating but includes lobster and is $295.

Celebrity chef Scott Conant’s Scarpetta also has two seatings, the first at 6-7:30 p.m. for $195 and the second from 8-10 p.m. for $295. Tuna tartare, creamy polenta, duck and foie gras ravioli, choice of halibut or filet of beef and chocolate caramel mousse or vanilla panna cotta for dessert. At the second seating the first course is elevated with Osetra caviar.

An elegant Asian menu at Hakkasan is offered for two seatings and at the same prices as Scarpetta. For the first seating dine on roasted duck, seared scallops, a dim sum platter, Chilean sea bass, stir fry Wagyu beef and Florida lobster with chocolate coconut mousse or crisp banana sponge for dessert.

Vida is hosting a buffet for $85 from 5-11 p.m. that includes a choice of five salads, sushi, ceviche, charcuterie, imported and domestic cheeses, rotisserie, a carving and pasta station, grilled items, wood stone pizzas and an enviable dessert bar. 4441 Collins Ave., Miami Beach 305-538-2000.

Meat Market on Lincoln Road in Miami Beach features a couple of four-course dinners prepared by Executive Chef Sean Brasel. Bagatelle on Miami Beach is serving up two prix fixe dinner menus the first, a three-course dinner with champagne toast at midnight beginning at 7 p.m. for $195 per person and a five-course dinner with champagne toast at midnight at 9 p.m. for $425. Confidante Miami Beach features two restaurants, Nina’s House and Bird & Bone. At Nina’s it’s a casual party with snacks, sweets, beer garden brews of local faves from Wynwood Brewery and Funky Buddha and surprise performances, open bar and champagne midnight toast. The Setai on Miami Beach is hosting a 1930s themed New Year’s Eve with two options. A Jaya specialty menus are being served at 6:30 p.m. for $175 per person and $90 per child and at 8:45 p.m. for $395 per person and $210 per child with a special champagne toast at midnight. At Chef’s Kitchen a six-course prix fixe menu includes Asian fusion items like truffle egg and wagyu filet mignon along with Florida stone crabs. $695 per person and $360 per child. Artisan Beach House in the Ritz-Carlton Bal Harbour is hosting the Shaken Not Stirred New Year’s Eve Gala. Guests are encouraged to dress as their favorite James Bond character (hence the evening’s theme.) Executive Chef Paula da Silva is preparing a few dinners for the evening. The first seating from 6-8 p.m. includes three courses and is $125 per person while 8:30 p.m. to close late dinner is four courses and $250 per person. Bistro One LR at the Ritz-Carlton South Beach is hosting a couple of New Year’s Eve dinner events. The Azucar New Year’s Eve four-course dinner is at 6 p.m. and $180 per adults and $75 for children ages 5-12. The menu includes starter choices of cream of asparagus, heirloom tomato salad or scallop crudo; entrée choices of cobia, truffle cannelloni or coffee rubbed Cuban-style beef tenderloin and for dessert either mojito crème brulee, cortadito Cuban coffee chocolate cake or chocolate ice cream and Bailey’s cream. At Faena Hotel Miami Beach the choice is yours for a dinner package at either Los Fuegos or Pao. Dinner at either starts at $75 per person. Kick off the night with a glass of champagne and then dinner prepared by Chef Francis Mallmann at Los Fuegos, an Argentinian grill experience with an open-fire kitchen or at Pao, a modern Asian concept by Paul Qui. Dutch at the W is hosting two five-course prix fixe dinners one at 6:30 p.m. and the other one at 8 p.m. The menu includes snacks like Sturgeon caviar and butternut squash tart, appetizer choice of either foie gras and duck terrin or Florida stone crab claws, Robiola tortellini with Alba white truffe followed by choice of John Dory with lobster curry, spot prawns with coriander flowers or Manhattan steak with red wine short rib. For dessert it’s either strawberry vacherin or Manjari chocolate crema. Quattro Gastronomia Italiana is offering a variety of a la carte options on New Year’s Eve from noon to 11:45 p.m. It includes a special a la carte menu with options of antipasti, tartare of filet mignon, tagliolini in Italian butter sauce, risotto with Toma cheese, thinly sliced beef tenderloin with sautéed porcini mushrooms and veal scallopini with truffle butter sauce. 1014 Lincoln Rd., Miami Beach, 305-531-4833.

Macchialina has a four-course New Year’s Eve Chef’s Tasting Menu with a variety of rustic Italian favorites. Havana Nights at Catalina Hotel is a celebration with music by Spam All-Stars, three DJs, premium bar Latin dinner buffet and sushi and raw bar from Fung Ku restaurant. The National Hotel hosts dinner and a show on New Year’s Eve. Feast on a bottomless buffet with crab stuffed Florida lobster, grilled NY strip, assorted sushi, smoked scallops and more for $150 per person. A Fish Called Avalon, one of South Beach’s longest standing restaurants has New Year’s Eve menus for both adults and kids. For $210 per person adults can indulge in caviar pie, smoked salmon flatbread and grilled octopus, followed by a crispy goat cheese and pear salad and choice of either Chilean sea bass, 21-day dry-aged Black Angus filet or a baked whole Maine lobster (for an additional $30). For dessert a bottle of Duval Leroy champagne and caramelized apple and almond rum cake. Highbar Dream Hotel South Beach is hosting a Dream a Little Dream New Year’s Eve party from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. with hors d’oeuvres and a nacho and taco buffet prepared by Chef Ralph Pagano of Naked Taco. Nobu at Eden Roc has a decadent seven-course Omakase prix fixe menu for $250 per person being served from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. It includes white fish wasabi ceviche for the first course, choice of Japanese Uni Uwi Chawan Mushi, caviar or king salmon tatake style, third course a variety of specialty sushi selections from the Chef Tetsuya, Maine lobster with matsutake and white truffle for a fourth course, sous vide of waygu short rib for a fifth course, consommé, ebi, lotus root, herring roe for the sixth course and a Chef’s choice dessert to finish the meal. Baoli Miami is hosting a New Year’s Eve 2017 Goldfinger-themed party, one of the most popular James Bond movies. Driftwood Room has a New Year’s Eve dinner feast with two seatings at 7 and 9 p.m. It include seafood, a selection of appetizers and carving stations with prime rib and porchetta. Mr. Chow in the W South Beach is offering a semi prix fixe menu with two-course family-style service starting at $54 per person. Beijing cuisine-trained chefs Lau, Tsui, Tsang and Fong, prepare a selection of dishes including glazed prawns with walnuts, chicken satay and little dragon soup dumplings. Essensia at the Palms Hotel and Spa is serving up an “Authentically Miami” New Year’s Eve Dinner. Signature Chef Julie Frans is creating a five-course vegetable-focused menu including Florida stone crab claw or oyster mushroom ceviche, conch chowder with crispy bacon, hearts of palm salad with Florida avocado and heirloom cherry tomatoes. Entrée choices include coffee and wine braised beef short ribs, spice-dusted seared hog snapper or jerk spiced grilled cauliflower steak. Dessert is a gingered kaffir lime tart with coconut cream and mango caviar. Start dinner with a welcome hibiscus mojito cocktail and finish it with a glass of 2017 Mionetto Prosecco. Villa Azur’s Enchanted Villa has a couple of seating for lavish New Year’s Eve dinner. The first seating from 7 to 9:30 p.m. offers a three-course meal with options including lobster tart, Mediterranean sea bass with Winter black truffle, A5 Kobe beef wellington, and Grand Cru chocolate & tayberry Jam and a glass of champagne for $250 per person. Pubbelly is where superstar Chef Jose Mendin is creating an Omakase Menu for $125 per person. It includes toro sashimi carpaccio, carabineros shrimp, a million dollar bun of pear marmalade, foie gras, shaved white truffes and Wagyu tartare. SushiSamba is one of Lincoln Road’s longest standing restaurants and where a five-course Omakase menu is $135 per person and includes a glass of Taittinger Brut Cruvee champagne. The Deck at Island Gardens is the latest creation by Chef Alfredo Alvarez along with legendary Miami promoters Eric Milon and Michael Capponi. They’ll serve the Deck menu’s stationed buffet for $150 per person from 8-11 p.m. for their St. Barth’s in Miami New Year’s Eve celebration. It includes charcuterie, artisanal cheese, skillets, raw bar, mezze tray, salads, risotto, oven baked options, pizzas and grilled items. Musician Phillip Myers performs in this “toes in the sand” beachfront party which includes canapes, a five-course dinner, full bar with premium spirits, butler served champagne, champagne toast and balloon drop at midnight. $265 per person and $525 per couple.
