UberEATS expands delivery west to Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, South Miami

Attention, Coral Gables: Your Uber dinner is now arriving.

UberEATS, the food delivery service from the app-based, ride-hailing service Uber, will be now deliver to the Gables, Coconut Grove, South Miami and most areas east of the Palmetto Expressway, south of Miami International Airport, the company announced.

Plus, a James Beard Award winner’s food is now in play. All of Michael Schwartz’s restaurants, from Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink, Cypress Tavern to his Harry’s Pizzeria locations will offer delivery through UberEATS. Schwartz and more than 60 other restaurants also began using Amazon Prime Now to deliver.

“We are always looking for new ways to reach our customers with the food they love and expect,” a statement from Schwartz read.  “As we continue to grow the Harry’s Pizzeria brand and expand to new locations, delivery is something that we are looking to embrace in a bigger way and are thrilled UberEats can facilitate that.”

New restaurants such as Ms. Cheezious, Buns & Buns, My Ceviche and GreenStreet Café have been added to the delivery service. First time users get half off on their first two orders, up to the first $15, with the promo code EATSMIAMIWELCOME.

UberEATS made a splash into the market last month, offering free ice cream delivery to most of Miami to introduce their service.
