It’s Miami Spice time, and we’ve takent things to the Grove to find out the best spots and offerings during this year’s season of Spice.
1. Spasso Coconut Grove
Dinner ($39): For dinner at Spasso, choose between warm peppered ahi tuna carpaccio with truffled acacia honey, or a caprese salad with ovolini, burrata and smoked mozzarella cheeses, heirloom and roma tomatoes as your appetizer. Then, choose one out of three entree selections including homemade tortellini pasta stuffed with pecorino cheese on umbrian black truffle fondue, an 8oz. dried aged filet mignon served with baby arugula and 36-month parmigiano, and a pan roasted filet of branzino served on mediterranean caponata. For dessert, choose between ricotta cheesecake with wild berries compote and a scoop of vanilla gelato topped with shot of espresso.

2. Peacock Garden Cafe
Lunch ($23): Select either a crab cake or petite tuna tartare as your appetizer. Then, choose one of three entrees including spicy shrimp risotto with mixed veggies, seared salmon with black olive tapenade and baby veggies, and grilled skirt steak or organic chicken breast. Dessert is a choice between homemade key lime pie and bread pudding with cream cheese, guava and caramel sauce.
Dinner ($39): For dinner choose between cold poached salmon with jumbo shrimp, lemon-tarragon vinaigrette, whole grain mustard, cucumber and fennel, and a crab cake with guajillo chile aioli and grilled corn. For the entree, choose between a Coconut Grove fish casserole with fresh sea bass served with rice wine, coconut milk, ginger, curry, veggies and jazmin rice, lobster with angel hair pasta, shitake mushrooms and prosciutto, and a filet mingon served with wild mushroom, brandy and caramelized cipollini onion sauce. Dessert is a choice between oreo-topped tiramisu, and a chocolate brownie with walnuts and vanilla ice cream.

3. Lazuli Lounge
Dinner ($39): Opt for the beef carpaccio with lavender goat cheese and raspberry balsamic reduction, or the braised chicken with aji cream and salsa criolla as your appetizer. Then select one of three entrees including steak frites with pichana, mushroom ragout and house made ketchup, pan roasted corvina with roasted butternut squash puree, cippolini onion and tomato broth, and calabaza gnocchi with charred broccolini, wild mushrooms and chardonnay nage. Dessert is a choice between strawberry lemon meringue pie and lucma cheesecake.

Lunch ($23): Choose between the tartare of the day, the Mayfair BLT salad, the antipasti misto, and the penne carbonara as an appetizer. Then select one of three entrees including grilled Floridian swordfish with the chef’s risotto, seared gnocchi with scampi, and chicken paillard with panzanella salad. Dessert is a choice between sorbet topped with local fresh fruits, churros and gelato, and berry-berry croissant pudding.
Dinner ($39): For dinner, choose an appetizer from four options including crips frito misto, the Mayfair BLT salad, the tartare of the day, and the penne carbonara. Then, choose one of four entrees including the cedar wood roasted salmon, the grilled pork chop with panzanella salad, the dried air NY strip, and the grilled Floridian swordfish with chorizo risotto. Dessert is a choice between sorbet topped with local fresh fruits, churros and gelato, and berry-berry croissant pudding.

5. Strada in the Grove
Lunch ($23): As an appetizer choose between homemade italian style crab cake stuffed with fresh mozzarella, hand chopped raw salmon with diced cucumber and crunchy quinoa, and farro with asparagus, goat cheese, and a balsamic glaze. Then, choose one out of three entrees including homemade pappardelle in a truffle porcini mushroom creamy sauce, grilled marinated fresh atlantic salmon with crunchy ginger and carrot salad, and seared veal scaloppini sautéed with porcini flavored creamy sauce. Dessert is a choice between cannoli and tiramisu.
Dinner ($39): For dinner choose an appetizer of burrata, funghi misti, or barbabietola e pomodoro. Then, select one of three entrees including grilled mediterranean branzino with fresh herbs and lemon garlic infusion, pan seared chicken breast with shallots, sun-dried tomatoes and a creamy champagne sauce, and homemade potato gnocchi with fresh tomato, garlic, basil, oregano, and fresh mozzarella. Dessert is a choice between panna cotta and chocolate mousse.
