So you say you like wine, huh? Are you ready to put your money behind that statement this summer?
For $25 you can enjoy a Generous Pour (i.e. unlimited) of a select group of wines with your dinner at the Capital Grille. And these aren’t just any wines you can choose to tickle your taste buds. We are talking reds from Italy and Spain, whites from France and California, and even a vintage wine from 2003.
Capital Grille’s master sommelier, George Miliotes, has selected nine wines of which you can enjoy any (or all, if you are brave enough) during your dinner. But of course it’s for a limited time: from July 12 – September 4.

- Chateau St. Jean, Belle Terre, Sonoma, Ca., 2008
- Freemark Abbey, Cabernet Bosche, Rutherford, 2003
- Chalk Hill Estate, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sonoma, 2006
- Byron Pinot Noir, Santa Barbara, 2009
- Conte Brandolini, Visitora Merlot, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy, 2006
- Tarima Hill, Monastrell, Alicante, Spain, 2009

(Now if you were to order each of the wines on the list by the bottle, it would cost you around $750. So $25 to try each of them by the glass and have as much (or as little) as you like, well, sounds like a pretty good deal.)

Tarima Hill: This Monastrell wine was just flown in to Capital Grille in early July from Spain, so it’s making its U.S. debut on this menu.
Fremark Abbey: As the vintage cabernet sauvignon of the group, this 2003 edition is at its peak time for tasting, goes perfect with one of those massive Capital Grille steaks, and for a bottle is $125. We’ll save that $100 and stick with a generous pour.
Marquis de la Tour: This pale gold sparkling white with fine bubbles is a perfect selection to begin your dinner.
The servers at Captial Grille are quite knowledgeable when it comes to pairing the wines you choose with your dinner selections, so don’t be afraid to ask. They have all taken special classes to know what goes best with each wine on the Generous Pour menu.
Just make sure they have their corkscrews ready and in top shape.
