The Federal and Haven team up for a Halloween-inspired menu

If you always felt the underlying subtext of Silence of the Lambs was that Hannibal Lecter was really a misunderstood gourmand, then this event is for you. Inspired by the intensely spooky film, The Federal’s chef Cesar Zapata and Haven Gastrolounge/Huahua’s Taqueria’s chef Todd Erickson have created a blood-curdling movie-based menu, just in time for Halloween festivities.

“Silence of the Lambchops,” is a special five-course collaborative dinner and wine pairing taking place on Wednesday, October, 29, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. Based on the 1991 American thriller and the famous antics of everyone’s favorite gourmet cannibal Hannibal Lecter, the frighteningly adventurous and deliciously death defying menu, priced at $65 per person, takes guests through scenes and themes of the bone chilling film. Diners, strongly encouraged to dress the part, will listen to the eerie tunes of the movie’s soundtrack while watching the movie play (silently) on continuous loop in the background. Not for the faint of heart, guests can marvel at staff who will be channeling their inner Hannibals as well.

Beginning with a reception at 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. dinner, the evening consists of one seating only. Regular a la carte menu will not be offered.
