It’s almost summer in Miami and though we haven’t even broached the topic of Miami Spice we are already gearing up with a reduced-priced menu-palooza known as Coral Gables Restaurant Week.
Now in its eighth year, the three-week promotion that runs June 8-28 offers three-course prix-fixe menus with at least a 20 percent savings. Guests who are 21 and older can pair those meals with a classic Bacardi and Coke, the official cocktail of Coral Gables Restaurant Week, or a glass of Martini prosecco, the featured wine.
To date, 40 restaurants are participating, including critical favorites Bulla Gastrobar, The Local Craft Food & Drink and Uvaggio.
It all kicks off on Thursday, June 4, with “Taste of the Gables,” the Restaurant Week launch party. From 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Westin Colonnade, 180 Aragon Ave., attendees will taste samples from Restaurant Week participants and cast their votes for “Best Taste of the Gables.”
General admission tickets are $30 in advance online and $35 at the door. VIP tickets are available for $55 online and $65 at the door. VIP ticket holders will have access to all General Admission areas, plus an open bar, additional food stations and a goody bag to take home. Taste of the Gables is 21 and over; diners of all ages are invited to participate in Restaurant Week.
