Stomp some grapes with VeritageMiami in Coral Gables

Roll up your pant legs and get juicy for a good cause as VeritageMiami hosts a wine-grape Crush-a-Thon outside Coral Gables City Hall from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 7.

You can rub legs with celeb crushers, including Coral Gables Mayor Jim Cason, Chamber of Commerce CEO Mark Trowbridge and The Federal Food, Drink & Provisions co-owner Ani Meinhold, who will be competing as they stomp away in wooden barrels. (Our money’s on Meinhold, a sommelier who knows her way around grapes.)

The event is to promote next month’s VeritageMiami, a four-day celebration of food, wine and beer to benefit United Way of Miami-Dade. Attendees at Saturday’s Crush-A-Thon will be eligible for free tickets to several VeritageMiami events, including a Craft Beer Tasting on April 15 and a Fine Wine Tasting on April 16.
