Stick a fork in it: Porcao, the “farm-to-grill” Brickell restaurant, lounge and cigar bar that suffered a painfully protracted delay in opening, appears to be permanently closed after a little more than a month in business.
A tip from an OpenTable reviewer led us to try to reach the restaurant by telephone several times to no avail. A walk-by during prime dinner time Saturday night revealed a dark, empty, shuttered restaurant.
(More clues: Porcao’s official social media has been silent since Mother’s Day, and its executive chef, the talented Jeff O’Neill, stopped tweeting his plating photos and specials last month, the day after Miami.com published a First Look on Porcao.)
What’s next for the massive, 10,000-plus-square-foot space at 901 S. Miami Ave., the former home of Grimpa Steakhouse? More as we hear it.
