Pierre's, Morada Beach Cafe off the market with new executive chef, Ishmael Toro

Contrary to previous reports that they were on the market for $15 million, Islamorada hot spots Pierre’s and Morada Bay are not for sale and have a new executive chef, Ishmael Toro, aka Chef Ish, who hails from, among other places, Miami restaurants Perricone’s and Novecento.

According to our source, the restaurants were “never really on the market,” but whatever the case is, they are not going anywhere now much to the delight of locals and tourists who flock down there for the stellar views, sunsets, Full Moon parties and food. 

Speaking of food, Chef Ish is adding signature dishes to both restaurant menus including Florida yellowtail topped with citrus fennel slaw; pan-roasted mahi-mahi with cilantro green rice, tostones and fresh Florida citrus mojo; pan-roassted wahoo over goat cheese plenta and asparagus topped with sundried tomato and calamata tapenade; and mofongo with whole lobster tail and jump shrimp enchilado.
