It’s a good time to be a local (or in-the-know tourist) in Miami. Restaurants, dreading the summer slowdown, are rolling out all kinds of value-priced deals and special events to keep customers a’comin’. Here are three that recently came across our radar. Know of more? Email Food@MiamiHerald.com.
Pasta Tuesdays at Pazzo: Chef Fabrizio Romani is dishing up an assortment of fresh pasta specials (Tagliatelle al Pesto, Linguini alla Primavera, Four-Cheese Penne, etc) for $10.99, all normally priced at $16 and up. The deal runs from noon to 10:30 p.m. on Tuesdays at Pazzo Ristorante, 2525 SW Third Ave., Miami; pazzomia.com.
Pasta Thursdays at Macchialina: Chef-owner Michael Pirolo is slinging his housemade pastas like Beet Mezzaluna and Pappardelle Bolognese for $10, more than half off the normal price. The offer is Thursday nights this summer at Macchialina, 820 Alton Rd., Miami Beach; macchialina.com.
Star Shucker Series at Mignonette: Multiple James Beard Award-winner Stephen Stryjewski of New Orleans (Cochon, Cochon Butcher, Pêche Seafood Grill) will cook a five-course meal at Mignonette at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 25. Look for Stryjewski to put his own twist on Mignonette’s “dailies,” including oysters, crudo, soup, fish of the day and dessert. Reservations are $75; call 305-374-4635. Mignonette is located at 210 NE 18th St. in Miami.
