Pascal Oudin, the namesake of venerable Coral Gables restaurant Pascal’s on Ponce, is expanding, opening Brasserie Central, a 3,000 square foot, 147-seat indoor/outdoor Parisian style bistro at The Village of Merrick Park. Slated to open in “late Fall,” the Brasserie will serve lunch and dinner with future plans to do weekend breakfasts and Sunday brunch. The restaurant is opening softly on Monday, November 17 and “officially” on Friday the 21st.
On the menu: housemade sausages, pate and charcuterie; artisanal cheeses; full raw bar; traditional hors d’oeuvres, salads, sandwiches, and main plates; classic stove-to-table cocotte stews; and et Patisserie, or dessert.
Also: hand-crafted Old World cocktails, oyster Happy Hour, plat du jour, and special afternoon Glacerie menu, featuring treats such as ice creams, crepes, waffles and coffees.
“Brasserie Central is a concept I’ve wanted to execute for quite some time,” says Oudin. “Here, we are true to the authentic Parisian brasserie, making everything from scratch daily, with classic French recipes and methods – much like I used to enjoy in Paris.”
Brasserie Central will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
