Get ready for spit-grilled tacos al pastor, liquor-infused raspados and a “tricked-out, taco-truck interior” when Bodega Taqueria y Tequila opens its doors at 1220 16th St. in Miami Beach on Dec. 29.
Billing itself as a “rock-n-roll taco stand,” Bodega will play Latin hip-hop while slinging its tacos and tortas, Mexican-inspired beverages and more. The taco shop will be open for take-out and sit-down lunch and dinner, with late-night hours to keep the spices and spirits flowing well into the night.
Bodega is the first of three previously announced Menin Hospitality restaurant concepts to open. The others — Red Ginger and Bake Shop — are supposedly coming to South of Fifth … sometime. Chef Bernie Matz, previously of Books & Books and Bernie’s L.A. Cafe, is overseeing Bodega’s menu.
