  • Eat like a tourist – or a lounging local – at the Tides’ new “lazy breakfast.” Available daily from 10:30am-2pm, the breakfast features Ocean Drive views, cocktails (the signature Chase the Rides blends elderflower, vodka, blood oranges & champagne) and such signature items as rice krispie French toast, crab cake benedict and a bacon-rubbed NY steak sandwich served with a fried egg.
  • Nourish body, mind and spirit Thursday, March 18 as Canyon Ranch Miami Beach hosts a French wine & lite bites tasting. From 6-8pm, enjoy a live DJ while sipping organic, bio-dynamic and sustainable French wines and nibbling on all-natural, healthy hors d’oeurves.   • Break new Florida ground Saturday, March 20 as Cioppino at the Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne partners with Schiopetto & Sandrone vineyards to premier vintage bottles from the wine estates. A maximum of 20 guests will enjoy a four-course dinner marking this selection’s Florida debut. The menu includes scampi stuffed zucchini blossom, Carnaroli rice with duck confit and robiola cheese & roasted lamb medallions atop grilled polenta. $125 per person, RSVP at 305-365-4286.
  • Enjoy a taste of New England Sunday, Mar 21 from 11am-3pm as the Cape Cod Room throws its monthly hybrid brunch buffet. Stat with a Nor’easter cocktail (Barbancourt reserve rum with Jamaican ginger beer) the move onto croissants, cream cheese stuffed French toast and lobster stew. $33
  • Eat, drink, donate & enjoy a sneak peak of BRIO Tuscan Grille March 22 from 5:30-9pm. The Italian newbie (scheduled to open March 24) will donate 25% of the evening’s food sales proceeds to the Make a Wish Foundation.   • Go gourmet and (semi) budget Thursday, Mar 25 as China Grill South Beach hosts another “bring your own wine” eight-course tasting dinner. Menu highlights include a pork belly burger, sesame crusted day boat scallops, pumpkin seed crusted local cobia, ginger crusted Key West tilefish and oxtail ravioli. $60 per person, call 305-534-2211 for reservations.
  • Red sauce meets the red carpet Thursday, March 25 as Shaq, Frank Stallone, Kelly Bensimon and others head to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino to celebate the grand opening of Martorano’s Italian-American Kitchen. The 7,400-square-foot restaurant is accented with music, classical movies, a mozzarella bar and iconic images of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. Menu skews traditional Italian with highlights including linguine and fresh clams, orecchiette with hot & sweet sausage and fusilli pollo. Late-night fans can dig into Philly cheese steaks, meatball sandwiches, wings and pizzas.
  • Sip and snack March 26 as Morton’s Fort Lauderdale hosts a food & wine pairing seminar. Sip five wines while nibbling on signature hors d’oeuvres and go home with a “Morton’s Associate Sommelier” certificate. Feeling extra indulgent?   • Michy’s gets back into the wine tasting game as it presents “Not Another Ordinary Wine TastingSaturday, March 27 at 1:30pm. Up to 25 participants will taste eight wines paired with music, local art, celebrities and short skits. $44 per person, call 759-2001 for info & reservations.
  • Give Passover a Mexican twist as Rosa Mexicano dishes out Seder specialties from March 29 through April 5. Highlights include tropical haroset, banana leaf-wrapped brisket and red snapper gefilte fish with spicy tomato salsa and picked vegetables. Preview the action with a free cooking demo March 27 at 10am.
  • Competitive eating skews Asian – and charitable- Wednesday, March 31 as RA Sushi hosts its second annual “Maki Madness” sushi eating contest. From 6-9pm take down maki rolls as quickly as you can in support of Radio Lollipop at Miami Children’s Hospital. The grand prize eater will receive free sushi for a year (i.e. 12 $50 gift certificates). Register by Mar 29 by picking up a form at the restaurant – the contest is limited to 30 people.
