Habit Burger opens in Miami, donates first-week proceeds to charity

Habit Burger

Because no city can ever have too many burger joints, opening today at 9971 W. Flagler St. is SoFlo’s second branch of Habit Burger, USA Today’s recently anointed “Best Tasting Burger.”  The first opened in July in Delray Beach, and a Royal Palm Beach location will follow Miami later this year.

Habit Burger is giving away free burgers today until 1:30 p.m. and from 5-7 p.m. On Wednesday and Saturday, it will donate 100 percent of its proceeds to Special Olympics Florida, Best Buddies, American Red Cross and St. Brendan Elementary School.

“Florida has been very enthusiastic about The Habit Burger Grill brand, and we are thrilled to expand our base in South Florida,” said Matt Hood, chief marketing officer.  “We are excited to introduce the Habit’s signature Charburgers to Miami. We offer only premium fresh, never-frozen burgers seasoned with our proprietary spice blend, grilled over an open flame and cooked to order.”
