The goods: Fuor d’Acqua brings Italian-focused seafood to South Beach.

Ambience: Restaurateur Antonio Martucci has outfitted the former iCorsini space with whitewashed walls, images of jellyfish, mermaids and sharks and a romantic garden.

The grub: Italian with Mediterranean leanings. Prices are high: Starters in the $20s and mains in the $30s.

House-made focaccia and Italian olive oil precede starters like lentil mousse with Sicilian red shrimp, tuna tartar with mango and sea bass tartar with celery and lemon. Pasta specialties include lasagna with tomato scampi and béchamel, tagliatelle with lobster and linguine with clams. Entrées include turbot in a citrus sauce, salt-crusted branzino, grilled T-bone steak with white beans, lamb chop with artichoke salad and beef filet with cherries.

End on a sweet note with classic tiramisu, molten chocolate cake or panna cotta with strawberries.

Verdict: A date-friendly Florentine spot for high-end seafood on Washington Ave.
