After an extensive national search, 50 Eggs has announced that it hired Patricia Yeo as executive chef at Khong River House. The former Top Chef Masters contestant is packing up and heading to Miami from Chicago. She starts next week. “She’ll take Khong to the next level,” says CEO John Kunkel, who also added that there are “plans for national expansion.”
The Oregon-born Yeo worked extensively with Bobby Flay in NYC before opening Asian-inspired AZ there in 1999 before moving to Southeast Asia where she worked as a restaurant consultant. In 2009, she opened Ginger Park in Boston, followed by Cambridge’s Om Restaurant & Lounge and Moska and, most recently, as creative director of midwest Asian chainlet, Big Bowl.
