Enrique Iglesias can soon add “Miami restaurateur” to his resume when he opens an outpost of Madrid’s TATEL Miami in January in the former David Bouley Evolution space at the Ritz-Carlton, South Beach. Joining Iglesias as partners are fellow Spaniards, tennis titan Rafael Nadal and San Antonio Spurs player Pau Gasol. Former Executive Chef of NOBU Miami, Nicolas Mazier, will run the kitchen here, executing the menu created by TATEL Madrid’s executive chefs.
Among the dishes on that menu: Tortilla Trufada, Croquetas de leche fresca, Gallega style Octopus, and their signature Milanesa de ternera San Román con huevo y trufa. The restaurant looks very fancy from its renderings so expect menu prices to match.
As for expecting Iglesias sightings, yes, those will come aplenty as long as he and galpal Anna Kournikova take some time away from their kitchen-away-from-home, Caffe Abbracci, to make their requisite cameos.
