It’s 11 p.m. You’re thirsty. Do you know where your Dom Perignon is?
If you’re in Miami, now it’s only a few clicks away. You don’t even have to put on pants to get it (though the delivery people almost certainly feel differently about this).
Here’s how it works: You order on domperignon.com, which has partnered with online beverage delivery service Thirstie. When you enter your address, the website links you with area retailers who will deliver it within 60 minutes of summons. The stores are open until midnight.
Hours vary from retailer to retailer. But this is Miami, where we love our luxury items (and by “we” I mean “you,” because I sure can’t afford them). The only other place Dom Perignon delivers in the country? New York City, of course.
Delivery areas are Doral, Fontainebleau, Westchester, Redland, Homestead, Florida City and North Key Largo. Wait, Westchester? Yes, Westchester. Hialeah, you’re out of luck.
You can even get delivery in parts of Broward County: Weston, University Park, Heron Bay and Parkland. Sorry, Hollywood, you’ll have to drink something else with your Domino’s thin crust pizza.
There are two different, extremely affordable varieties to choose from: Dom Pérignon P2 Vintage 1998 (average price is $379.95) and the much less expensive Dom Pérignon Vintage 2006 (average price is $159.95).
If anybody wants to send me a bottle, I’d happily accept either, though I kind of have my eye on the P2. I’ll even stay up late to get it.
