Dinner Lab, a members-only supper club said to connect “adventurous diners with rising-star chefs for unique rogue pop-up dining experiences across the country,” has partnered with Bombay Sapphire and will celebrate that union with a 7:30 p.m. dinner Tuesday, Aug. 25, at a location that will only be revealed a day before.
The $175 membership fee (more about that below) gets you access to this hush-hush dinner, which includes special pre-dinner Bombay cocktails and the following menu:
Truffled Peach Salad, Crispy Calamari, Braised Shortrib Ravioli, Pan-Seared Wahoo, Carrot Cake.
About that membership. The $175 fee is to become a member, then each dinner costs between $60-$80. The dinners take place in different locations each week throughout the year. For example, there was a dinner in New Orleans last week, one in Austin this week, next week is Miami and Atlanta, etc. The Miami dinner costs $75 (plus that membership fee if you aren’t one already).
In contrast, the homegrown Cobaya dinner club offers experimental dinners without a membership requirement or fee. Cobaya dinners range from $75-125, which includes tax and tip but not drinks, and they take place “roughly once a month, but not consistently,” says co-founder David Rosendorf says.
