Two upcoming chef-led wine dinners will benefit Fort Lauderdale-based nonprofit FLIPANY: Florida Introduces Physical Activity and Nutrition to Youth.
The Chefs Up Front events are Aug. 28 at the W Hotel in Fort Lauderdale and Sept. 18 at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables. Tickets are $200 a person, $3,500 for a table of 10, and proceeds will go toward FLIPANY’s efforts to promote Share Our Strength’s Cooking Matters program. Tickets are available here.
Each table will have one of the participating chefs cook a five-course meal, tableside, with wine pairings. Chefs lined up for the Miami dinner include Patricia Yeo (Swine), David Sears (SushiSamba), Diego Solano (Bulla), Dustin Ward (BLT Prime), Jeremy Ford (Matador Room) and Marlon Rambaran (Scarpetta). Fort Lauderdale chefs include Jason Smith (W Fort Lauderdale), Marc Gruverman (Capital Grille), Angelo Massanova (Casa D’Angelo), Tony Gaspar (Morton’s) and Mike White (Tsukuro).
