More than a sausagefest: Edge Steak & Bar at the Four Seasons Miami (1435 Brickell Ave.) is throwing a special Oktoberfeast event Wednesday, Oct. 21, that will pair local craft breweries with chef Aaron Brooks’ culinary prowess.
From 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., guests can enjoy unlimited samples from some of Miami’s best craft breweries, including J. Wakefield and MIA Brewing, as well as some B.R.E.W. FIU homebrew.
While the beers flow, Brooks will be putting out a ton of food, including a whole caja china-roasted pig; a sausage station with housemade cheesy kielbasa, classic bratwurst and lamb merguez; and accompaniments of sauerkraut and malted-barley risotto — ideal beer-drinking food.
Miami Herald food editor Evan Benn (hi) will be there to talk about the South Florida food and beer scene, and he’ll try to goad the Australian-born Brooks into a debate about the merits of Marmite versus Vegemite.
