Changes are afoot at Chow Down Grill’s two South Florida locations. The Surfside spot is converting to Josh’s Deli, a kosher-style deli serving up all the classics – corned beef, tongue, pastrami, knishes and matzoh ball soup. Eater reports that one week each month the deli will transform into a pop-up restaurant. Round 1 runs March 30-April as Chef Jeremiah (gastropod) creates a multi-course meal (menu TBD) for 22 people.
Down at Chow Down SoBe (pictured), sushi chef Joe Bracero (gigi, Sugarcane) has taken over the kitchen and is introducing a new “sophisticated Pan Asian” menu featuring braised beef moo shu, house made boa, the tobanjan roll (chill threads, chives, banh pho rice noodles, tobanjan mayo) and the yellowtail pastrami (jalapeño, cilantro & pastrami seasoning).
