During the summer months, guests can enjoy $2 fritas on Tuesdays, 15 percent off their bill on Wednesdays (with proof of Coconut Grove residency), and a $45 prime rib dinner on Thursdays, served with a side of potatoes, two glasses of wine, and beignets for dessert. Happy hour runs Tuesday-Friday from 4-7 p.m. and features $8 beers, $10 cocktails and menu items for $10 or less.

You don’t have to be a House of Cards fan to enjoy Ariete’s F. Underwood, made with High West double rye whiskey, Noilly Pratt extra dry gin, Luxardo Maraschino liqueur, angostura bitters and a maraschino cherry.

If you’re a mezcal lover, the J.O. blends Montelobos mezcal, Luxardo Maraschino liqueur, green Chartreuse liqueur, lime juice, jalapeno and rosemary for a sweet, smoky, and spicy finish. Fans of the classics can opt for the Chug Old Fashioned, crafted with a twist using tobacco-maple syrup, sour orange bitters, and Old Forester bourbon.

Something to savor

Start of with Ariete’s mushrooms, sautéed and served with leeks atop tamal en cazuela. Then go for the duck breast, smoked or grilled with wilted kale, jus of mango and foie gras. Save room for dessert, to wit: the bourbon creme brûlée with spiced cherry compote and local bee pollen.

The recipe
 
F. Underwood cocktail
 
 1 3/4 ounces of High West double rye whiskey
1/2 ounce of Noilly Pratt extra dry gin
1/4 ounce of Luxardo Maraschino liqueur
2 dashes of Angostura bitters
1 maraschino cherry
 
Stir all the ingredients with ice, then strain and pour over rock ice. Add the maraschino cherry and drizzle some of the cherry juice on the drink.
