7-Eleven’s free Slurpee Day just got better because… free Chick-fil-A

Just when you thought nothing could make today better than a free Slurpee, Chick-fil-A strolls in with Cow Appreciation Day, which is just a silly way of saying free food.

OK, first, let’s talk Slurpees. It’s 7-Eleven’s 90th anniversary and keeping with tradition, the chain is handing out free frozen drinks. Just walk into your local 7-Eleven any time between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. (get it?) to redeem your free drink (any flavor). If you do, your Slurpee will be one of the 9 million handed out on 7-Eleven’s special day.

Now to Chick-fil-A’s Cow Appreciation Day. We aren’t sure why the fast food restaurant couldn’t get it’s own day, especially since 7-Eleven’s been doing the whole free-Slurpee thing since 2001, but we aren’t complaining. Chick-fil-A has been celebrating its customers since 2005 and last July as many as 1.6 million people dressed up as cows to score one of 28 free entrees. Yes, they dressed up as cows, and you will, too, between open and 7 p.m. if you want a spicy chicken sandwich.

You don’t have to go full cow suit. But sporting a few cow spots doesn’t sound like too bad of an idea.
