It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the new music venue downtown is a sultry space designed for fun, music and a lot of late night debauchery.

Will Call (700 NE 2nd Avenue), has a 24-hour liquor license and plans to stay open until 7 a.m. on the weekend and until 5 a.m. on weekdays. There will be live rock, blues and some DJs, too – five to six nights a week.

After a $1.4 million redesign this former office space – under the metro mover – has been designed into a hot little lounge with endless possibilities. The little touches to the décor give this intimate venue great ambiance. Old concert posters and tufted leather upholstery line the wall behind the bar. There is a curtained booth behind glass doors for VIPs and a long couch alongside the DJ booth for bottle service. They have put in billiards and ping pong tables in case you want to play while you party.  And there are 20 flat screens in view no matter where you sit, perfect for watching Heat, Marlins and Dolphins games.

The all-night kitchen features a full line of freshly made bar delights like sliders, chicken tenders and more. The bar is convenient to get by car or public transit. There is free parking in the back and the Metromover is just steps away from entrance.

Will Call is among a number of venues, like The Stage, that have made a transition to featuring live music. The bar had its’ soft-opening several weeks ago and plans to have the kickoff this weekend (June 8-10) with live music Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

This weekend’s showcase:
Friday night you can check out the heavy rocking ‘swampgrass’ music of The Gladezmen
On Saturday the Bobby Lee Rodgers Trio will take the stage.
On Sunday The Jay Blues Band helps you cure your blues.
