1. Go to the beach…Nikki Beach, that is. The famed venue will host a day-long Declaration Of Dance this Saturday featuring artists like Shlomo Aber, Kevin Sauderson, and Marco. 2. Go for a night swim at Delano Beach Club. Delano Beach Club’s Night Swim pop-up pool party became an instant hit among South Beach party-goers when it launched earlier this summer. Pencil it into your LDW party schedule this Sunday, September 6 if you’re down for grilled bites, ice cream, fire dancers, dancing mermaids and glow-in-the-dark floaties. 3. Don your daisy dukes and cowboy boots at SHOTS Miami. If you’re feeling western, SHOTS Miami will celebrate Labor Day Weekend by hosting Wynwood’s first ever country-themed party. Featuring drink specials, giveaways, live performances BBQ bites by Tuto’s Street Cuisine, Barnival will kick off at 7 p.m. on Sunday, September 6. 4. Grab a beer and get funky at Whiskey Blue. For those of you who live in Broward or plan on escaping there to avoid Miami’s notorious party crowds, head over to Whiskey Blue at W Fort Lauderdale, where local brewery Funky Buddha will be taking over their monthly Beer Garden series with a wide and diverse selection of craft brews on draft. 5. Party like a local at TSL. One of Wynwood’s most inconspicuous hidden gems, the Social Lubricant Lounge is beloved among those who know for its eclectic crowd, gorgeous outdoor terrace setting, memorable parties and great drink specials. This Friday, September 4, TSL kicks off LDW with a night of deep house grooves provided by local DJ Nightvision, and a live performance by X3SR. 6. Get your brunch on at Tongue & Cheek. Famous for their house-made donuts, lemon ricotta pancakes, and bottomless Bloody Mary, Bellinis and Mimosas, Tongue & Cheek is a Miami brunch staple. 7. Preview Heart Nightclub. While everything has been quite hush-hush surrounding Miami’s newest 24-hour nightclub, Heart has announced it will be hosting its first preview party Friday, September 4. 8. Salute the summer at Segafredo Brickell. The happy hour hotspot will host a series of parties from Thursday, September 3 through Sunday, September 6 for their 4th Annual Grand Labor Day Fest. Thursday night’s party theme is Naught Nautical, Friday’s theme is American Beauty (free sponsored cocktails from 6-7 p.m.!), Saturday’s theme is Labor of Love Haute Hippie, and Sunday will channel Endless Summer bohemian vibes. 9. Go all white at Hyde Beach. Whether or not you plan on wearing white beyond labor day, SLS South Beach wants you to dress up like it’s your last chance this Friday, September 4 for Hyde Beach’s White Out! Labor Day party. Local resident DJ YSL will set the mood before UK headliners EC Twins take over the dance floor. We’ve also heard there will be mermaids, angels and stilt walkers. 10. “F*ck Work” and party at Libertine. Set apart by its eclectic soundtrack, speakeasy vibe and ‘open till whenever’ policy, Libertine Miami has gone from best kept secret to best after hours bar experience in the few months since it opened. This Friday, September 4, Libertine says “F*ck Work, Let’s Dance” with a special Labor Day party featuring sounds by DJs Andie Sweet Swirl, Michelle Leshem and Jeremy Ismael.
