Recently renovated, the courtyard now features a built-in retractable roof that offers breathtaking views of the sky. And Thursday through Saturday, a live DJ elevates the evening ambience with lounge music.

The deal

Head to The Setai’s Ocean Grill any day from 4-6 p.m. to enjoy the hotel’s famous Coco Setai coconut cocktails for $16 (originally $25). If you’re a whiskey fan, you can order a flight of three rare Japanese whiskeys — Yoichi Single Malt, Miyagikyo Single Malt, and Taketsuru Pure Malt Blended — for $33, served all day.

Something to sip

The Cherry Blossom Sour is the most recent addition to The Setai’s cocktail list. Mixed with the hotel’s newly added Toki Japanese whiskey, it blends Cherry Heering liqueur, cherry vanilla syrup, fresh citrus juice and an egg white. $5 from each cocktail sold will go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Other sips

If you’re in the mood for something with a bit of a kick, try the Chili Passion Martini. A Setai favorite, it’s made with passion fruit rum, passion fruit puree, chili-infused vodka, ginger syrup and chili flakes.

Something to savor

Craving some bites between cocktails? You can’t go wrong with the Japanese Leaf (baby gem served with tomato, radish, and aka-dashi miso) and truffle dumplings served with scallops, black truffle, and port wine emulsion.

The recipe

1 ounce of Toki Japanese Whiskey1 oz. Cherry Heering

1 ounce of Cherry Heering liqueur

3/4 ounce of cherry vanilla syrup

1/2 ounce of fresh citrus juice

1 egg white

Garnished with Filthy Cherries

Add all the ingredients to a shaker and fill with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a glass.
