Piano, Man

Ever since the demise of Miami’s venerable Magnum Lounge, the mainland has been devoid of that campy, torchy touch for which Magnum was so well known. But no more. Going from pop-up to permanent is The Wynwood Piano Bar, returning every Friday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Cafeina Wynwood, 297 NW 23rd St., where classic tunes and sing alongs will be led by Miami pianist Dr. Wayne. Liquid courage is offered in the form of happy hour until 8 p.m., sustenance via $5 menu items, and a post piano martini hour from 11 p.m. to midnight featuring $7 cocktails.

Macy’s Parading

Closing out the Miami Beach Gay Pride Festival is Macy’s MEN MUSIC FASHION event, 9:30 p.m. at Icon, 1235 Washington Ave., featuring fashion by LA-based celeb designer Marco Marco and special performances by Orange is the New Black‘s Taryn Manning and electronic pop artist Rilan. The event is “the world’s first all-male traveling fashion and music interactive,” which is fancy marketing speak, but what matters really is that the event is a fundraiser benefiting the Miami Beach Gay Pride Association and that Macy’s will be hosting a Dior Beauty Style Lab featuring freebies and samples. Tickets for the event are $37.50 for general admission and $41.65 for “front of the line general admission.” To purchase, go to www.wantickets.com/MMF.

Pop Culture

The Gale Rooftop, 1690 Collins Ave. definitely offers a lofty view of the city, the ocean and the mania down below, but from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 10, the focus will be on the down-to-earthiness taking place on the roof with Local Pop, a community pop-up party featuring food by chef Sarah Myers, and Dolce Italian and beer by Wynwood Brewery. The $25 ticket gets you food, drink, and assorted sensory stimulators including DJ Daniel V, singer Gaby Duran, the Alma Dance Theater and artist Jay Robertson Watson. Black (Downward) Dog

Still like that old time rock ‘n’ roll? That kind of music just soothes the soul, you know, and if you don’t believe us or Bob Seger, consider heading to Anatomy at 1220, 1220 20th St., from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday, April 11, where yogis Joey Corona and Green Monkey’s Paula Walker are teaming up on Stairway to Yoga, a rock ‘n roll inspired yoga event set to the music of the one, the only, Led Zeppelin. The class will take place on Anatomy’s roof deck and will include use of the facility’s cold and hot plunge, sauna and steam room. “Whether you are a Jimmy Paige devotee or a seasoned yoga practitioner, grab your yoga-homie and let the language of Zeppelin fuel your flow,” they say. Cost is $20. To reserve your spot, register at  clubready.com/getstarted/2345/261321/
