It’s Memorial Weekend 2012! Time for the locals to move on out and make way for all the tourists.  It’s going to be a busy weekend in South Florida as some of hip-hop’s finest come down to our sunny beaches and take over our clubs.  This week catch performances by Gucci Mane, YMCMB, Trey Songz, Fabolous, and many more.  If you’re in the mood for some house music, no need to worry, I’ve got you covered there too.  



Favela Beach with Mr. Mauricio

Start off the Memorial Day festivities with Mr. Mauricio as he takes over the turntables at WALL lounge for a special edition of Favela Beach.  Party it up with Miami’s hottest socialites and tear up the dance floor at this exclusive and posh club located at the W Hotel on South Beach. Doors open at 11 p.m., dress code is strictly enforced, and you must be 21+ to get in. Table reservations are highly suggested.




Mokai presents Serge Devant
235 23rd Street., Miami Beach

Before hip-hop takes over, get your house and electro fix over at Mokai lounge with special guest Serge Devante for Relapse Wednesdays.  Dance to the chart topping hit “Addicted” along with new tracks like “True Faith” and “Dice”.  It all starts at 11pm to get on the guest list click here


Nicky Romero at LIV

He’s back and ready to rock! Memorial Weekend Kick-Off with Fabolous at Arkadia

Just downstairs, get in the mix with special guest, hip-hop star Fabolous for a special Memorial Weekend kick-off at Arkadia lounge.  Resident DJs Stevie J and Ideal will have the club bumpin’ hard with some of the best in R&B and hip-hop all night long.  Doors open at 11 p.m., dress to impress, and you must be 21+ to get in.

YMCMB Take-over at Club Play

Another great way to kick off your weekend is over at Club Play for the YMCMB Memorial Weekend Kick-off hosted by Cash Money’s own Birdman along with DJs Top Feelin and Skip.  It’s going to be a long night with some of the best hip-hop, dancehall, and reggae to keep you moving until the sun comes up.  Doors open at 10 p.m.  Tickets are $50 in advance at


CAMEO “Welcome to Miami” Party

CAMEO kicks off Memorial Weekend festivities with a Welcome to Miami event featuring Bad Boy Recording artist French Montana along with music by DJs Massive B, Young Chow, Bullet Proof, Starks, and Maxx. Doors open at 11pm.


Twista and Don Cannon at Bamboo
550 Washington Ave., Miami

The newest hotspot on South Beach is also getting in on the Memorial Weekend action with big names such as international hip-hop star Twista taking over for the “Gucci, Louis, Prada” brought to you by Prestige Marketing Group.  On the turntables keeping you dancing all night will be DJs Don Cannon, Rob Dinero and Epps.
