Party Patrol – Miami – Jan. 4 – 7

Emi Guerra celebrates his birthday at Space

Hellloooo 2012! I hope everyone had a fabulous New Year and ready to get things moving. From what I can tell, this year is going to be twice as good as last and that means there is no time to rest. Right off the bat we jump into a great week of special guests such as Sidney Samson, LA Riots, Morgan Page, and more as this weeks’ trendiest clubs kick-off 2012 in style. Here are my top party picks for the first Party Patrol of the year!

Wednesday, Jan. 4
Sidney Samson at LIV

4441 Collins Ave., Miami Beach
One of my favorite mid-week parties continues to bring in some of the greatest DJs from around the world and this week is no exception. Dirty Hairy at LIV welcomes Dutch DJ Sidney Sampson alongside residents Ross One, Jessica Who, and Contra. If you don’t know the name, you may know the tracks – he’s the man behind the hits “Mutate” ft. Lil Jon, “The Street is Ours”, and “Surrender”. It all starts at 11 p.m. Dress code strictly enforced, remember to dress to impress, and must be 21+ to get in. General Admission tickets are $40. Other events at LIV include Patrick M on Thursday, DJ MOS on Friday, and DJ Chuckie on Saturday.

Thursday, Jan. 5
Alphabet City Thursdays at Haven
1237 Lincoln Rd., Miami Beach
For a taste of something different on a Thursday night, head over to the corner of Lincoln Road and West Ave. to party it up with DJ Al B Rotten and DJ Johnny Strokes for Alphabet City Thursdays at Haven Lounge. Dance to Indie Electro rock while enjoying some tasty food and drinks untill 3 a.m. Doors open at 11 p.m. and you must be 21+ to get in. For table reservations email

Friday, Jan. 6
*Bonus Pick*
Customer Appreciation at Bougainvillea’s
7221 SW 58th St., South Miami
I’m all about the clubs and crazy parties, but this week I had to mention one of my favorite little hide-outs located in South Miami, known to everyone as Bougie’s, Bougainvillea Old Tavern has been a local favorite for as long as I can remember. It’s a place to just kick back, have a drink, and chill with friends. This week they’re honoring all their loyal patrons by having the 1st Annual Customer Appreciation Day. Starting at 4 p.m. guests will enjoy extended Happy Hour all the way through midnight. Just so you know that’s ½ off of Bud Light and Yuengling, all house wines, and premium well drinks – now that’s a bargain! So Friday night, before you step out on the town, I suggest pre-partying at Bougie’s.

LA Riots at Arkadia
4441 Collins Ave., Miami Beach
To kick off the first weekend in 2012 Arkadia Lounge invites you all to one of the best Friday night parties on South Beach – Disco Sh!t. This week the DJ Duo team the LA Riots will be in the house to rock out with Not for the Radio and Rascal. Prepare for a long night with some of the best in high-energy electro and house. Doors open at 11 p.m. Tickets are available at ($30)

LMFAO – Sexy And I Know It (LA Riots Remix) by LA Riots

Saturday, Jan. 7
Morgan Page at WALL
2201 Collins Ave., Miami Beach
Keep the momentum going at Wall Lounge with special guest Morgan Page and alongside some of South Florida’s elite socialites because at this venue it takes a lot more then just a pretty face to get in, but once inside it’s well worth it! Dance to hits like my favorite “I Fight For You”, “Fantasy” and more. Doors open at 11 p.m., dress code is strictly enforced, and you must be 21+ to get in. Table reservations are highly suggested. For tickets go to (currently $50 pre-sale)

Morgan Page feat. Tegan and Sara – Body Work (Club Mix) by morganpage
