Party Patrol – Miami

We’re in the final two-week stretch of summer before we gear up to party hard for Labor Day Weekend. To keep you dancing through the night here are our Top 5 picks of the best parties this week in Miami. This week you’re in for a special treat as artists such Will.I.Am and Travie McCoy will guest DJ and take over the clubs. Get your game on and get ready to PARTY!

Thursday, Aug.26
Felix da Housecat at Mynt
1921 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach; 786-276-6133

Groove with the coolest Cat around as Romain Zago invites everyone to dance on tables, throw your hands in the air and get loud with special guest Felix Da Housecat. (Opening set by resident Julian Ingrosso.)

From the moment you step inside Mynt you can feel the energy rush. People dance everywhere and anywhere they can find a space. When the DJs prepare for a nasty drop it’s as though the entire club is in slow motion – then it comes. The beat drops and the place goes WILD with excitement!  Napkins in the air, gorgeous hair swinging around, and arms waving like they just don’t care. Thursday night it’s going to be a madhouse when DJ Felix Da Housecat takes over with his style of music known as electroclash – a blend of house, hip-hop, R&B, and electro.  Some of his most popular hits include the tracks “LA Ravers”, “Sinnerman”, “Like Something For Porno”, and my favorite “Silver Screen”.

Dress code is strictly enforced, you must be 21 to get in, and table reservations are highly recommended.

In the Studio with DJ Drama at Mansion
1235 Washington Ave. Miami Beach; 305-531-5535

If you want to skip the house music and get down and dirty to some great hip-hop instead, I suggest making your way to Mansion nightclub to get In the Studio with DJ Drama alongside resident DJ Konflikt.  In the Studio with the 400 Club is one of the more upscale hip-hop events that go on during the week and always brings in top names to rock out with South Florida’s finest.  DJ Drama (a.k.a. Tyree Cinque Simmons) is an Atlanta based hip-hop artist and official DJ for Grand Hustle/Atlantic recording artist T.I. and T-Pain’s Freaknik: The Musical. So put on your dancing shoes and throw on your hottest threads.
