LILT Bar & Lounge at the Epic Hotel
While LILT Bar & Lounge brings all the swank and sophistication you’d expect at your typical upscale Miami hotel bar, it has the personality of a locals-only cocktail den. Most of its patrons are people who live and work in bustling Brickell, and lead bartender Spencer Taliaferro knows almost everyone by name. What’s more, they love coaxing visitors out of their comfort zones – if you’re feeling adventurous, tell them what you don’t like to drink and they’ll take it as a challenge to change your mind.
Something to sip
Made with St. Augustine Gin, Giffard Banane Du Brésil, lime juice, ginger syrup and elderflower tonic, Back To The Roots balances sweet and tart for a sunny, smooth and interesting finish.
Helmed by LILT and EPIC’s Beverage Director Dean Feddaoui, the cocktail menu features a range of flavors to excite all kinds of palates. For something refreshing try the Take Me To Spain, made with Aviation Gin, ginger, grand poppy liqueur, lime, grapefruit and basil. For a classic with a twist try the Vesper Tonic, made with Ketel One Oranje, Lilet Blanc, Nolets Gin, house made tonic and ginger. For something truly unique, try a cocktail with one of LILT’s alcohol-infused ices, like The Good Stuff. Made with Templeton Rye whiskey, raw sugar, and Peychaud- and absinthe-infused ice, the drink develops a different character as the ice cube melts (getting stronger in the process).
Something to savor
LILT Lounge offers a tapas-style menu designed to be enjoyed alongside its cocktails. Try the light tuna poke or the lobster sliders if you’re in the mood for seafood. If you want to go traditional, order up a charcuterie board with LILT’s special jams and breads.
Every night from 6-8 p.m., enjoy LILT Lounge’s Cocktail Hour and Chef Wolfgang Birk’s daily selection of oysters for $1, glasses of Tattinger and Laurent Perrier for $10, infused ice and champagne cocktails and more. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays enjoy live music from 9 p.m. – midnight and Thursdays and Saturdays from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Back To The Roots
1 ounce of St. Augustine Gin
1 ounce of Giffard Banane Du Brésil
1/2 ounce of lime juice
1/2 ounce of ginger syrup
Top with 1 ounce of elderflower tonic
Shake all ingredients (except the tonic) in a shaker with ice. Pour over new ice in a highball glass, top with elderflower tonic and garnish with lime peel
