From its plush crimson leather booths and Art Deco chandeliers, to its outdoor garden area complete with lush vegetation and romantic string lighting, everything about Baoli exudes quintessential SoBe glamour. The restaurant-lounge-nightclub hybrid attracts socialites and well-dressed patrons for bites and bottle service alike, and its staff seems plucked from a Vogue pictorial.
Something to sip
When it comes to flavor, Baoli’s Spicy Paloma covers all the bases. Made with Avion Silver Tequila, passion fruit puree, grapefruit juice, fresh lemon juice, an egg white, fresh jalapeno, and a sprinkling of cayenne pepper and shaved jalapeno, it’s simultaneously tart, sweet, spicy and strong ($18).
Both creative and well-rounded, Baoli’s cocktail menu offers at least one unique drink centered around nearly every basic kind of spirit. Bourbon fans will enjoy the Sunset Affair, made with Buffalo Trace Bourbon, sage-infused demerara simple syrup, blood orange juice and lemon juice ($18). For vodka lovers, there’s the Summer Elyx, made with Elyx Vodka, Canton Ginger, lemon grass infused agave syrup, fresh pineapple, and lemon juice served in a martini glass ($18). And for gin lovers there’s the Granmamm’s, made with Plymouth Gin, orange liquor, fresh cucumber puree, fresh lime juice, and pepper trilogy ($18).
Something to savor
While it does offer a full dinner menu, you don’t have to plan a formal meal to get a taste of Baoli. At the bar patrons can enjoy not-so-small tapas like the Baoli Wagyu Sliders, made with Australian Akaushi Wagyu beef, port wine caramelized onions, quail eggs and aged manchego cheese ($29); the hamachi sashimi tacos, made with marinated lime yuzu yellowtail, guacamole and radish salad ($22); and the crispy tuna tart, served over a crispy tortilla with shaved truffle, creamy ponzu and organic truffle oil ($29). Instead of a traditional bread basket, Baoli offers a side of guacamole and plantain chips.
During the summer, Baoli is open Tuesdays from 7 p.m. until midnight, and Wednesdays through Saturdays from 7 p.m. until 4 a.m. On Wednesday nights they host #MyBoyfriendIsOutOfTown, one of Miami Beach’s most popular ladies nights featuring live DJ performances. Bottle service and VIP table reservations are available.

1 ounce of grapefruit juice
1 1/2 ounces of passion fruit puree
A splash of lime juice
Combine all of the ingredients and shake well. Then, add ice and shake again. Double strain into a chilled glass and garnish with dehyrdrated jalapeno and a togarashi salt rim.
