Chocolate orgies, apres happy hours, Sunday suppers and late night brunches

Chocolate Orgy!
Now that we’ve got your attention, we’re not kidding. From 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Kitchen 305 in the Newport Beachside Hotel & Resort, 16701 Collins Ave., is turning its galley over to “aphrodisiac culinary guru,” Jenny Patrizia, aka the “Sexy Nutritionist,” who will teach a class on how to make hot, steamy cuisine. Every Tuesday is a different theme; this one happens to be chocolate. For $37.50 per person, Patrizia will demonstrate four to five “easy, divine, aphrodisiac chocolate desserts, including a double chocolate martini to enjoy in class.” That’s our kinda class! Future classes include wraps on July 7, “Skinny Sex” (aphrodisiac meals under 500 calories) on July 14 and Triple X Meals (app, main course, dessert) on July 21. For more information, visit

Apres Hour
A bar or resto without a happy hour isn’t necessarily miserable, but it’s rare these days. And while we love two-for-one dimes-a-dozen with a splash of vodka, Vintro Hotel + Kitchen, 2216 Park Ave., has raised the, er, bar with post-happy hour specials from 7 to 9 p.m. daily during which time $25 per person will get you a choice of two tapas and unlimited (!) red or white house wine. Among the specials: mini lamb burgers, crispy pork belly, calamari, mini BLTs, beet tartlets and more. Happy hour was so two hours ago.
Super Sunday Supper
If the most Italian your Sundays get is watching reruns of “Real Housewives of New Jersey” or “Mob Wives,” consider upping your ante and checking out the newly installed Classic Sundays, 7-11 p.m. every week at Bianca at the Delano, 1685 Collins Ave. There, you’ll sup on Italian family-style classics including spaghetti and meatballs, eggplant parm, garlic knots, cannolis — don’t forget the cannolis — and more. DJ Corrado will spin classic Italian tunes and, in the orchard, classic black and white flicks like the inimitable “La Dolce Vita.”
Brunch After Dark
For those of you who wake up way too late to get to brunch, City Hall The Restaurant, 2004 Biscayne Blvd., has just the solution for slow-pokes, night owls and those of us who can consume copious amounts of Bloody Marys way after 3 p.m. Launching at 10 p.m. Saturday is their very first of many Late Night Brunch Saturdays, featuring $6 Mimosas, Bloody Marys and Guava Mojitos plus the restaurant’s popular brunch and dinner menus. This Saturday’s launch is a pajama party, which in Miami could mean so many things or nothing at all. Dress at your own risk, and, please, 21 and over only.
