Over the weekend, Hollywood filmmaker and music video director to the stars Brett Ratner came home to Miami to check out the newly renovated Miami Beach Cinematheque.Ratner, director of Family Man and Red Dragon, was a surprise guest speaker at the Canon Filmmaker’s event. The cinema’s founder, Dana Keith, said Ratner, a graduate of Miami Beach High School, called the cinema “amazing” and plans to one day “soon” exhibit his collection of photography at MBC. Foodie news Local foodie and Dinner in Minutes columnist Linda Gassenheimer will be a guest judge on Key Lime Pie: Throwdown! with Bobby Flay. On the show, Flay will compete against pie gurus Jim Brush and Alison Sloat. Their Key lime pie was named the Nation’s Best Pie by the American Pie Council. The episode airs at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday on the Food Network. Star players On Monday, tennis twins Bob and Mike Bryan hosted a launch party for TennisDaily.com at Icon Brickell. Joining the brothers were James Slater, Brian Lynch, Nikolay Davydenko, Robin Söderling, James Blake, Nicolás Almagro, Edgardo and Ana Cristina Defortuna and Sean and Ana Wolfington.
