That's some primo tequila

With this stuff, even the worm stays classy. Tequilier (a fancy name for a tequila expert trained in the Tequila region of Mexico) Heriberto Oviedo traveled to Amatitán, Mexico, believed to be the birthplace of Tequila, to nurture and select specially crafted double-barrel reposado  from the House of Herradura distillery that would be reserved jusr for The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami.

The process began in 2010 with 100 percent blue Weber Agave tequila “resting” in toasted oak barrels for 11 months before maturing in a second hand-made barrel. Finally in April 2011, Oviedo journeyed to the distillery to taste and choose the best of three barrels awaiting his arrival. The chosen barrel captured smooth, light, earthy flavors Oviedo thought would best complement the spices and flavors of Cantina Beach Chef Andres Parlange’s cuisine and was then hand-bottled at Casa Herradura. Only 240 of these exquisite bottles are in existence and are available by the bottle ($450) or 2-ounce glass ($32) at Cantina Beach.

That’s one expensive buzz but tipplers say it’s worth it.
