Over at Michael’s Genuine, pretty much everyone, including Al Roker and Jamie Oliver, who Tweeted “great place in Miami,” sparking a frenzy of new followers for the Design District hot spot.
Mika Brzezinski, co-host of MSNBC’s Morning Joe, was seen having her, uh, morning joe Saturday morning at BLT Steak.
Dennis Rodman was at the Clevelander Sidewalk Café Saturday with two women and a male friend, enjoying cigars, drinks and a late lunch. After they finished, they went to the rooftop, where Rodman chatted with guests but asked that no one snap pictures of him.
Partying at Club Play, the unofficial pro athlete clubhouse, over the weekend: Philadelphia Eagles player DeSean Jackson, Detroit Lions player Louis Delmas, Miami Dolphins player Kendall Langford, Miami Heat players Joel Anthony and Udonis Haslem, and Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson.
New York Knicks players Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire weren’t worried about their game Sunday night against the Miami Heat, partying late night Saturday at a big birthday bash at the Cameo Theater for their friend, Indianapolis Colts player Dwight Freeney. Also in the house: Lil Wayne, who was downing Grey Goose while celebrating the birthday of rapper/mentor Bryan “Birdman” Williams, high-fiving Stoudemire until the groups left early Sunday morning.
Saturday night at Prime One Twelve was quite the scene as Billy Joel entertained a group a friends in the wine room while former Mets and Red Sox pitcher Pedro Martinez dined a few feet away, as did South Florida swimming sensation and Olympic gold medalist Dara Torres. Across the street at Prime Italian, actor Geoff Stults entertained a large group.
