OK, raise your hand if you saw a problem between newlyweds Johnny Depp and Amber Heard.
The two photogenic actors, who met on the set of 2011’s Rum Diary, seemed happy and destined to make it — for at least a few years, anyway.
Not 15 months. But, alas, another Hollywood marriage has gone down the tubes. According to widespread media reports and first reported by TMZ, Heard, 30, filed for divorce in Los Angeles Superior Court earlier this week.
It’s those nasty “irreconcilable differences” again. Though the two seemed content, behind the scenes told a different story. The AP reports Heard separated from The Pirates of the Caribbean star only on Sunday and filed the following day. For now, we don’t know why exactly. But on May 20, Depp suffered the loss of his mother Betty Sue Palmer, who basically raised him.
His parents divorced in 1978 while the family was living in Miramar, where they had relocated in 1970. Depp attended Miramar High School and formed a garage band called The Kids.
Depp has reportedly rejected Heard’s request for spousal support.
His legal representation: Who else but divorce lawyer to the stars Laura Wasser?
TMZ says there is no prenup. Ruh-roh.
At least Depp’s latest movie, Alice Through the Looking Glass, opens Friday. Let’s hope it does well.
