Men, no more need to feel awk-ward when getting your nails did.
Hammer & Nails just opened up shop at The Shops at Midtown Miami and their mission is to put the “man” in manicures. Joining its sister salon in Los Angeles, the grooming shop provides manicures, pedicures, barbering and styling services — all wrapped up in a masculine vibe.
“After opening the L.A. shop, I am constantly asked how to get a guy to take better care of his hands and feet,” Hammer & Nails CEO and founder, Michael Elliot says. “It’s very easy: you have to create a space that makes him feel comfortable. That is how the idea of Hammer & Nails was born.”
Elliot presented the idea on the ABC hit show Shark Tank in 2014, and although he did not get a deal on the show, he found immense support from the viewers, allowing him to continue to grow his vision.
The highlights? Envision handcrafted, bison-leather mani/pedi chairs, personal 42-inch HD televisions — replete with a personal remote and Bose headphones for customizable programming during services. After all, the goal here is for men to no longer feel uncomfortable walking into a female-centric salon.
Manicures (starting at $25), pedicures (starting at $35), shaves ($17) and more are in store. Gratis Tennessee whiskey, brown sugar scrubs, hot towel wraps and a paraffin treatments are all in the mix, too.
Now this is a mancave we can get on board with.
