Scarlett Johansson, Ryan Reynolds split

It can kill a perfectly good relationship.

Take two beautiful people like Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds.

Married just two years, the stunners have decided to call it quits, reports They separated about two weeks ago, soon after Reynolds was voted People’s Sexiest Man Alive.

Johansson, 26, and the 34-year-old Canadian released a statement confirming the news: “After long and careful consideration on both our parts, we’ve decided to end our marriage. We entered our relationship with love and it’s with love and kindness we leave it.”

There were rumblings that the two stars were having problems with the long distance relationship thing.

Dexter stars Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter couldn’t make it work, either. Their short marriage — almost two years — is over too.

A rep for the couple — who play (foster) brother and sister on the grisly Showtime series — said the split is “amicable” and that they’ve been separated for some time. The pair started dating in 2007 and married in January 2009; TMZ reports it was Carpenter, 31, who filed for divorce.

No reason was given, but the sparks between Hall, 39, and this season’s guest star Julia Stiles were pretty intense. Could there have been an affair?

Time will tell, but the Hall marriage saw stress last year when the former Six Feet Under star underwent treatment for Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

Hugh Jackman probably had to pick up a raw steak after his appearance on Oprah. It would be to slap over his aching eye.

The hunk injured himself after a zipline stunt went awry on the set of The Oprah Winfrey Show, filming in Sydney to interview stars from Down Under like Nicole Kidman, Olivia Newton-John and Russell Crowe. The shows will air next month.

Jackman, 42, was rappelling from the Sydney Opera House onto the stage. He got distracted looking at the crowd, hit the brakes too late, and smacked into a lighting rig.

The show’s taping was briefly halted while paramedics examined Jackman, who was given a glass of Penfold’s Grange red wine to calm down.

Elin Nordegren
can have fun, too.

Tiger Woods‘ ex-wife has been seen getting cozy with a South African man she met while studying psychology at Rollins College in Winter Park, Fla.

A source tells Britain’s The Sun, “There’s been kissing and cuddling but I don’t know if it’s gone further.”

The former model walked away from her disaster of a marriage with the golfer earlier this year with around $10 million.
