Miami photographer Robert Curran, whose works appear in the collections of, among other people, the King of Jordan, is opening his own gallery Thursday at 74 NE 40th St., showcasing his extensive collection of travel photos. The opening will be hosted by supermodel Petra Nemcova. “Robert has been a dear friend of mine since I started Happy Hearts, which helps to rebuild safe-resilient schools in places hit by natural disaster,” Nemcova, a survivor of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, told us. “We have traveled the world together, and his works represent his love of travel and discovering all cultures living on this planet. Hosting this event lets me now support one of his great loves, photography.”
