Florida Sen. Marco Rubio has no problem stopping and chatting with TMZ while he is on the job.
One of the gossip site’s reporters caught up with the pol on Tuesday in D.C. asking him about Monday’s indictment of former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort.
“It has nothing to do with the campaign,” said the former Republican presidental candidate, adding, “From what I have read, it has to do with stuff he was doing four or five years ago, not last year.”
Then the TMZ guy asked Rubio if art was imitating life on Capitol Hill (he of course was referring to Monday’s scandal involving Kevin Spacey).
Rubio laughed and said, “That’s probably what killed ‘House of Cards.’ Real life is more dramatic right now.”
