Kenya Moore in town

Nearsighted Kenya Moore finally decided to get Lasik on her eyes when a noise woke her up in the middle of the night and she couldn’t see past her bed. “That wasn’t a good feeling and I felt it impeded my safety,” said The Real Housewives of Atlanta star who flew to Miami to get the procedure at Millennium Laser Eye Centers, where Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Gabrielle Anwar, Ryan Tannehill, Dwayne Wade and others also have had their vision fixed.

We talked to her before the procedure:

Were you nervous at all?

I was because it’s your eyes. I think that’s what scares most people.

When did you first get glasses?

Beside the operation, how are you enjoying your trip to Miami?

I haven’t seen much of it this time but I plan to try to get a little R&R in before I leave. Of course I like Miami Beach and shopping and checking out  cool restaurants.

What other projects do you have going on?

I am launching my own hair care line called #MooreHairCare formulated to help strengthen your hair to help it grow longer. You can pre-order at

You post a lot of inspirational quotes on social media. Do you think it’s a good way to connect with fans?

I like that you can inspire a lot of people, and also it’s a great marketing tool. I dislike that disturbed people use it to spread hatred.

Do you watch any of the other Real Housewives shows?

I watch Beverly Hills and a little NY. I really liked Miami and am still friends with Joanna Krupa and Lisa Hochstein.
