Getting married to movie star Gabrielle Union wasn’t Miami Heat superstar Dwyane Wade’s only merger this summer. Wade officially gained the custody of his 12-year-old nephew last week, according to Miami-Dade County family court records. Father of three Wade, 32, was granted his petition for “concurrent custody by extended family” by Judge Barbara Areces, county records show. In a nutshell: Wade officially will be raising Dahveon Morris, even if the child’s mother, Wade’s sister, Deanna Morris, keeps her parental rights. Evan Marks, Wade’s attorney, didn’t reply to requests for comment. But Wade has made no secret that he has been spending a lot of time with the boy for the past three years. According to Wade’s petition, Dahveon’s daddy is “unknown,” and his birth certificate doesn’t list a father. Wade also has custody of his two sons by high school sweetheart and ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches. And he fathered a child with a Los Angeles groupie last year while “on break” from Union.
