Gwen Stefani helps kid who was bullied during concert

Gwen Stefani performed Wednesday night at Perfect Vodka Amphitheatre as a stop on her This is What the Truth Feels Like tour.

Mid-show, according to her Instagram, Stefani spotted someone in the audience holding up a sign that said her son had been bullied but that her music cheered him up. Next thing you know the kid is up on stage and they took a selfie.

She later posted: “About 3 years ago when things were hard in my life I prayed to God everyday that I could get a chance to use my gift that God gave me and make a difference in some way in this world – last night this little guy was the answer to my prayers #zerotoleranceforbullies #onelove.” A fellow audience member Gino Campodonico said that was his favorite part of the concert.

“She brought up a little boy (looked to be around 10 years old) on to the stage after reading a poster,” Campodonico told The Miami Herald. “Her music had helped him cope with some problems, I believe. He was adorable and his hair matched hers – platinum blonde with black tips. She had him on stage again when she bowed at the end.”
