Glamorous red carpet for Miss Universe

Reality stars, athletes and TV personalities converged on the red carpet at Trump National Doral Sunday afternoon for the 63rd Miss Universe Pageant.

It was a little slice of Hollywood meets the United Nations.

One of the first to arrive, Project Runway fashionista Nina Garcia, naturally, said she was “looking forward to seeing all the dresses.”

Looking dapper in a maroon tuxedo, local telenovela actor, fellow judge William Levy had reporters scrambling for selfies. Same went for Prince Royce, who was all smiles and said he was ready to perform along with Nick Jonas. The former boy bander, who recently ventured out on his own musically, arrived with his girlfriend, former Miss USA Olivia Culpo.

Kristin Cavallari has been taking her judging role seriously. The former Hills castmember believes that there are great opportunities to being in a pageant such as this. “I don’t have a daughter,” said Cavallari, who has two young sons with NFL star Jay Cutler, “but if I did, I totally would approve of her wanting to do this.”

Restaurateur/reality star Lisa Vanderpump walked the carpet holding her Pomeranian Giggy, dressed up in a black fur scarf. Fellow judge, Filiopino boxing champ Manny Pacquaio soon followed.

When asked what type of woman would win the Miss Universe title, he answered, “Someone with beauty and talent.”

Did the outgoing Miss Universe Gabriela Isler have any advice for the contestants?

“Smile a lot, be happy,” said the Venezuelan knockout. “This is your moment.”
