South Beach is going to be declared Zika-free

For those who have been smothering themselves in Off! for the past few months whenever they came within a mile of South Beach, you are about to be able to ease up on the deet. According to Miami Herald sources, the Zika zone in South Beach will likely be lifted Friday. A press conference by Gov. Rick Scott is scheduled to take place at the Betsy Hotel on Ocean Drive where he is expected to declare the Zika “transmission zone” in South Beach to be over and done.

Fingers crossed! But don’t throw away the Off!, just in case.
